Lightning wallets
Any wallet that pays a Lightning invoice can sit on Outsat. Phoenix, Zeus, Wallet of Satoshi, Cash App, Strike.
Outsat does not make you pick a wallet. It makes an invoice. If your wallet can pay a Lightning invoice, you can sit.
You do not need a Lightning address. You do not need to receive. You scan, you pay, you rank.
Wallets that work
These are the ones we point people at. Not an endorsement. Not a list of every wallet on earth.
- Phoenix — self-custodial Lightning, built for invoices.
- Zeus — connect your own node, or use their embedded wallet.
- Wallet of Satoshi — simple. Scan and pay.
- Cash App — bitcoin tab, Lightning send. Fine if that's already your money.
- Strike — Lightning send. Same deal.
Short version of the rail: What's Lightning?.
What to check before you sit
- You can pay a Lightning invoice (QR or
lnbc…paste). - You have at least 1,000 sats on Lightning, plus a little for fees.
- You are not waiting on an on-chain deposit to finish.
If the invoice fails, you did not sit. Try again. No refund from us — the payment either cleared or it didn't. Rules.
Custodial vs yours
Phoenix and Zeus (on your node) keep you closer to the keys. Wallet of Satoshi, Cash App, and Strike hold the balance for you. Outsat does not see that. The invoice just needs to clear.
After you pay
The host lands on the board. Same host later? Sit it again — the sats stack. Rank is total paid.
New to sats as a unit? What are sats?. Ready? Outsat them.
