How to get sats

Buy them, earn them, or ask a friend. Then get them onto a Lightning wallet so you can pay an Outsat invoice.

You need sats on Lightning, not just a number on an exchange. The sit is an invoice. If the wallet can't pay Lightning, you can't sit.

Three ways people get them

1. Buy. Cash App, Strike, or an exchange that lets you send out over Lightning. Buy bitcoin, withdraw to a Lightning wallet, or pay from the app if it speaks invoices.
2. Earn. Get paid in sats. Tips, work, a faucet that isn't a waste of time. Then move them to a wallet you control or already use.
3. Ask. A friend with a Lightning wallet can send you 1,000 sats. That's a sit on an empty board.

Get them onto Lightning

On-chain bitcoin in a brokerage is not an invoice. You still have to send to a Lightning wallet (or use an app that pays invoices natively).

Check before you hit Outsat:

• You can pay a QR or paste lnbc…
• You have at least 1,000 sats plus a little for fees
• A deposit isn't still "confirming" on-chain

How many you need

• Empty board: 1,000 sats takes #1.
• Someone is up there: 1,000 more than the lead takes the top.
